FAQs

Where do Bohemian Highway Travel Co. tours begin and end?

Our excursions can start and end almost anywhere in the Bay Area. We will arrange to pick you up from wherever you’re staying and will return you back to your preferred location at the end of your day’s outing. Pick-ups and drops-offs outside of Sonoma Valley will be predetermined on a case by case basis.


Will there be other people on our excursion?

All of our tours are private, unless we state otherwise. 


Are reservations required?

Yes – all of our offerings are private and require some form of prior reservation. Please give us as much advance notice as possible in order to secure your private tastings, tours, and adventures.


How are tastings, tours, and restaurant reservations secured for our tour?

We will make all reservations for you. In certain circumstances (for instance, if we need to secure the reservation under your own name) we may require a credit card that we will request from you prior to any booking made on your behalf.


When will bookings be confirmed?

Individual bookings are not confirmed until our team has determined availability. If Bohemian Highway is unable to secure a booking on your behalf, you will be contacted about other touring options or/and refunded fully.


Can we purchase cases of wine and/or alcohol during the excursions? 

Absolutely. Most wineries also offer shipping to almost anywhere in the country.


Can we drink alcohol in the vehicles?

Yes. Bohemian Highway Travel Co. is a fully licensed tour company in the state of California, and all of our drivers and vehicles hold valid California TCP licenses. A TCP-licensed vehicle permits responsible alcohol consumption by the passengers (strictly for over 21 years of age only). Please note that we’ll need to see proof of age (21 and older) before any excursion begins. TCP# 0037446-B


What happens if it rains? 

Our outings operate rain or shine. Rainfall during California’s warmer months (May to October) is generally temporary and short-lived. In the case of extreme weather, Bohemian Highway Travel Co. reserves the right to modify, shorten, or cancel any tour to prevent damage to vehicles or avoid unsafe conditions. Full refunds, or the option to re-book, will be provided if we’re unable to run an excursion due to bad weather.


Do you have A/C or heating in your vehicles?

Almost all of our vehicles have A/C and heating. However, one of our classic Land Rover Defenders has no A/C and will be limited to specific tours that don’t require longer travel distances. Due to the nature of some excursions we will offer you the option of a vehicle with A/C.


Do your vehicles have seat belts?

Yes, all of our excursion vehicles are registered by the California DMV and adhere to all safety standards.


How many guests do your vehicles accommodate?

Our vehicles typically accommodate a group of up to 7 people. If your group exceeds that number, please contact us to make other suitable arrangements. Our Land Rover Defenders hold up to 7 guests comfortably.


Can you accommodate group tours, team-building events, or wedding parties?

Yes on all counts. We have solid experience with corporate events and weddings. Please email us to get our corporate brochure and sample offerings. 


I’ve booked a tour and need to reschedule or cancel, what do I do?

All cancellations or reschedules must be made within 7 days of your tour. We know this can be tough, but our team needs enough time to communicate to many different sources already committed. Refunds and reschedules are permitted, minus a 20% administrative fee, with a minimum of 7 days notice. 

Bohemian Highway Travel Co. charges the full fare for no-shows or cancellations made within the 7 days of a scheduled tour. Keep in mind we've committed to many services all coming together for this experience on your behalf.

Please note that a 18% service charge will be added to your tour fee to provide a gratuity to your guide.
